I am moving...again!:( I've done a lot of moving in my life, because of the transer in job of my parents, and Its getting really frustrating. I have lost friends and places where I've had good memories, and sometimes bad. I have just gotten used to it now. Its not about that anyways am sad about, its just that am getting tired having to move so many times.
Have you ever moved? How do you deal with moving?
I need to know is there any good part about moving.

you like it at the angle that you now have, at last, sufficient reason to get rid of all those unnecessary stuffs. but the task itself of moving to another house will never be an easy to do.

the first time i moved was when i got a job away from my parents. back then i was excited about moving and i was looking forward to new adventures of my young life. then when i had settled down in my new place and made new friends, i then had to transfer from the job i was at due to financial reasons. and i was really saddened that i had to move again. it was such a hassle especially when you have so much stuff to move.
maybe one thing good about moving is that it provides us a chance to meet other people and new friends. as an old nursery rhyme goes, "make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold" cheer up!

At the age of 3 I moved from a ranch in uruguayan country to Montevideo, the capital city. Since then I have moved thrice, but from one neighbourhood to other, in Montevideo. And, strictly speaking, the last two times I moved from one place to another in the same neighbourhood, just a few blocks distance.

yes there are many good parts about moving...
u get many new acquaintances, new friends... and more.
u will get to know more abt the varied culture in various parts of the world. i had to move to lots of places mainly coz of my fathers job.. his transfer would actually mean a huge shift. it has always been a nice experience for me when i travelled from part to another :)
at first u might feel it disturbing, but it will quite interesting as we move along// language problem might be one barrier thats against it.. but its jst a negligent factor when compared to more positives :)
keep moving .. have fun !!!

I wish I could tell you there was a good part to moving. I guess the only thing I can think of, it that you are in a fresh new place. I know when I move I get rid of alot of clutter items.
But I hate moving. It is a big pain in the old you know what.
Good luck with your move, hope it goes smoothly.

i had moved many times in my life, too especially when i was in higshcool and college. at first, i always thought it's nonesense. but when i am able to suit myself already with the new place, i find myself relaxed... i found new friends, been to new places, had new experiences again. there are still good things which can take place because of moving. but sad that you will leave also the friends you met along the way. but the memories will never be forgotten.

Sometimes we don't like moving as we are already accustomed to our current situation. But then it is important that we welcome changes in our lives. Nothing is ever permanent, everything in this world changes.
Making moving another new experience for you. Make it more exciting and challenging. You'll get to learn more cultures and you'll get to know more people. Keep the memories you've had with your friends. Keep your friends also. Moving doesn't mean you would stop being friends with them. Keep the friendship moving and never let distance affect it also.

i used to have that kind of life. it is really difficult to be moving from one house to another, from one place to another. it is so taxing and so tiring. i do not think that anyone will ever enjoy going through it time and again. we will only enjoy moving out if we will be moving into a better place where there is a degree of permanence to it. however, this continuous moving for somewhere else happens to those who have good paying jobs and are holding high positions in big companies. that is the news for you.
there are some good points about these 'movings' though. for one, you will get to live in so many places and enjoy every part of it, then know much abuot it. another one is, you get to meet different people and cultivate friendships by having new acquaintances and friends all the time. just look at the brighter side of life so you will not be too affected at the negative side of this development. there was a point in my life when i thought that it must be a wonderful life to have - transferring to different places and meeting new people all the time.

I had the same problem when I was young. The school would change, the books would change, friends would be left behind, new house, new place, new city, new faces, at times different language, ...The list is endless.
Yet, thre are some plus points when you move to a new place: you can always keep in touch with old friends through Internet, and in addition, you would make new friends, you face new challenges and learn to cope with them (a very useful thing), you learn to tolerate easily.

I understand your frustration, and the reason you don't like to shift. But you will be astonished to know that, one of my friends whose father is also in a transferrable job, is infact quiet happy to shift to places. She says, it is fun, and a nice way to explore the different shades of life. She says that she loses friends, but always finds new friends, new neighbours, a new city, weather, and new cultures. She likes that, and says that she is lucky that she has visited and stayed in so many places within the country, which many other nationals cannot do. I think you cam try to think that way. May be you would feel better. Life is so colourful and the world is so beautiful, though not at all places. But you are getting the chance to explore, which many others are not getting. That is also a nice way to live.

There are some positive sides and some negative sides to everything, including the issue of moving.
I know that two months ago i moved to a small country side city, and i do that is surrounded by nature and animals.
I do feel very peaceful here, and it does make me happy.
People do need a change in their life from time to time.
So yes, there is a good part about moving.

I have to move soon and don't know where I am going yet..lol. I think you have to look at each new move as an adventure and that at sometime, you will end up in a more permanent place. You can always keep some of your old friends and you have the chance to make some new ones. And by moving, you get to see many different places and you get a different perspective on which ones you might like better if you decide one day to stay in one place. I am glad I have visited several parts of the country to see how others live. Try to see this move in its best light and look at it from a positive point of view. You never know what you might discover in a new place.

There are advantages and disadvantages in moving.
It depends on how you will take it.
For me, I think advantages out weight the disadvantages because when you move to a new place you'll have a fresh start again. Sure you will miss your old friends but you will also get to meet new friends in your new place.
You'll see different places and experience different cultures. For me that's the best part of moving. ^^;

Yes. A fresh start.
I have moved a lot in my life as well. Although the moving process itself is a pain, new surroundings can sometimes enable one to have a brand new outlook on life. Having to adjust to a new environment and people can be rewarding in the end. You never know what oppertinities this new place will provide for you, or new people you never knew existed can become your lifelong friends.
It's hard when leaving behind familiar people and places that you are used to but this is the new age. You will always have memories, pictures and friends come and go but the good ones will always be in your life no matter how far you move (phone, email, ect).
Understand that in order to grow in life, we must be shaped by different experiences, environments and new people. This may be the move that changes the rest of your life in a very good way, or put you on a path that leads to something you have always wanted or were meant to do..
Just stay positive and you will see..
