I don't really like text messages, and would prefer someone to just call me. I rarely use text messages to people, again I would rather call them in person

yup! i'm like that too.. unlike some of my friends, i'm lousy at using text messages. i takes forever for me to compose one message! i'd rather just call... takes away the trouble...

I cannot stand it when I get a text message. I'm like you and feel it is much easier to call and get an immediate response. And on top of it, texting from my cell phone takes forever.

Hello, meanqueen,i do not like to text message as i do not liek to spend a long time pressing the keypad,it is easier to phone call rather than sending text messages. Also,i can have free calls to my friends but i need to pay for the text messages.
Having phone call is better because you can hear the voices of other people and you can know how they feel at that moment,i do not like to read messages because it may be easy to misunderstand people.

hey easy888~!
I feel the same way too. I'm afraid that people might misunderstand what I have to say if I use text messages. It has happened a lot. It's cheaper for me to text, but I wouldn't wanna deal with the hassle of messaging, especially if I'm in a hurry! =)

if it's real important i call right away. but if it's not that important and i know that the person i would like to reach is busy or like in a meeting, then i just send an sms.

I get so annoyed with text messages. My 14 year old neice sends me at least 100 a day. And it's usually something stupid like song lyrics. My feeling is, if you have something important to say pick up the phone and call me. It's usually faster than the time it takes someone to text me, and me to text them back. The only time I usually text is if I'm not in the mood to talk to anyone and I have a quick question or need to give someone an address.

Woww, your niece must really be attached to you to send you those many messages~! I can understand how picking up the phone and calling would definitely be much easier in your case~! LOL~! Hang in there.. =P

It all depends on who I am calling. I have some friends that can not recieve personal calls while at work so I will text them and tell them if they are not busy to call me. Other wise if it is someone else I usually just go ahead and call them. It saves time to be able to just call.

yeah, that sounds reasonable.. wouldn't wanna bother anyone with calls, huh? i also think it's just better to make a call rather than to compose a message, send, and wait for a response! what a hassle.. :P

hi masterviajero~! yeah, most of my friends SMS cuz it's cheaper and as students, they wanna save their credit.. but i just can't stand to wait for an answer through SMS so i'd call straightaway.. guess i'm an impatient person.. hehe

I prefer calling instead of sending text messages. I can't even consume my 200 free text messages in a month =) I'd rather call especially when it's needed.

that's my mom's problem, too. she can't consume all the free loads per month that she has. so, it always ends up telling me to text my friends using her phone. well, it's good, too... hehe

It depends what i want to talk about and with whom. Sometimes it's easier to say things via text but sometimes there is just too much information to get across. I do like texting and i do it quite a lot, it means that people can reply at their convieniance and you don't get stuck in an hour long conversation.

When I bought mobile for the first time, I was very much curious to send text messages to everyone and i seldom make calls.. But now things have changed and I really dont like sending message to my frnds. I will always call them and convey the message. I always prefer to call and sort of the issue instead of sending too many sms. Also, messages are charged for me and I have 600 free mins... This is also a reason for me to call instead of SMS :-):-):-)...

hi mean_queen! well it depends on how important your message is or it depends on the person you want to talk to. if it's really that important, i would rather call him/her to relay my message. because there are times that we cant express clearly thru texting what we really want to imply. and there are times that you were misunderstood with your message.
