have u heard of the survival story of Noah's ark.........it says that when Noah caried a couple pair of all animals on his ship, then there were no cats, only rats. it is believed that the rats on the ship started eating the food and started multiplying really fast, eating more n more food.........this ultimately wiped out a couple of species of animals ( which we have no ecor off).so something needed to be done to contol the rats, such that the food supply would remain intact and enough for the survival of all animals on board the ark.........thats when God sent down the CAT......to hunt down rats n control their population..n so the existance of many animals on the ship. It is believd that they (CATS) have been built ( created) to control HUMANITY from all diseases n calamities, as a massive population of mice would wipe out the human race.

It's part of natures food chain. Cats are natural hunters so small things that move attract their attention and spur the hunter instinct in them. It is due to this relationship that cats became domestic pets.
