This is so true, it is the greed that is evil. There are many people out there that have lots of money and they share the wealth with employees and non-profit organization and it just brings more wealth to them. These people are not greedy and know how privileged they are and how easily it could all be taken away. Those that are greedy and pay low wages to employees and are always scrimping on supplies and holding there wealth over others are usually the ones that fall to the greed monster. I think they are not really happy at all.

Absolutly wrong. It is hankering of money makes one evil.Sharing of money with needy takes someone far away from evil.

Money is simply an IOU. What it represents is power. Greed is the desire for more power. When you think about it, its power that is the most corrupting influence. Most will become addicted to it as soon as they get a taste, and its very difficult to share power once you have it.
I suffer from this, just like anyone else. When I feel power, I turn in on myself and close down my "spiritual eye." I can feel it each time. Everything becomes about me, and I become entirely unsympathetic to other people around me. I'm able to snap out of it, but the power always calls back to me stronger than any other addiction I've ever faced.
This is why so many religions focus on humility, which is the surrender of power. Without the tug of power, I open up to the relationships around me, and more importantly the ability to love. True unconditional love (not romantic, necessarily) only comes to me when power has absolutely no influence, or I don't allow it to have an influence. You can call it Power/Love, Yin/Yang, Light/Dark, but I really see it as the true personal struggle between Good and Evil.
