depending on how bad it is, i would seek help. if it is just that you are feeling a little blue, that is a normal hormonal reaction. all the hormones that were present during pregnancy just dropped when the baby was born. so it is normal to feel a little blue for a few weeks. if it lasts longer, or is bad and you cannot function or you have thoughts of hurting yourself or the baby, get help asap. they can put you on meds to get you out of this hole and you will feel back to normal. you wont stay on the meds forever either. it is only a temporary thing as your body will adjust and you will feel better. many woman go thru this to one extreme. i hope that it isnt too bad for you as you need to take care of that new baby as well as yourself. dont feel bad going to get help. that is what the drs are for. call your ob/gyn and they can help you.
good luck to you and congrats on having a new little baby in the family!!!

I had post partum depression after my son was born (its gone now). Mine was hormonal. My hormone levels litterally bottomed out, I had no progestrone in my body, at all. I just know that when I went through it, I didnt know anyone else with it, so I thought that if there is anyone out there, needing to talk, I'd open that up to them. But I agree with your advice.
