What feed is given to your doggy???

Our dog is eating Purina dog food. He seems to really like it. We had him eating another brand for a while, and he didn't smell very good. I don't mean he was gassy, but that his body odor was strong even a couple days after a bath.

I cook for my dogs. One third meat and two thirds brown rice and vegetables. When I get the meat from an especially good butcher they sometimes get raw meat. Canned or kibble they get very seldom. And they get healthy snacks, too.

I give my dog Wellness brand dry food. I also give her Old Mother Hubbard brand wet food. Her treats are either from Three Dog Bakery, Paul Newman brand or Old Mother Hubbard brand. I try to stick to natural food companies and I stay away from brands that were affected in the recent pet food recalls.

We have a boxer and a blue tick coondog we adopted both from a pound at when we got each of them they seemed to be thin so we got the fatiest food that they had at the place where my hubby works which is a feed mill that sells and mixes feed for farmers, they get in dog food that before he worked there i never really heard of, but we are just sticking to anything fatty right now and that also includes table scraps, untill they are fattened up.
