Before some days I went with my son to shopping few things from a small supermarket. When I finished and went to pay I saw in front of me 2 children between 11-13 years. One he had a paper with the things they must but and the second had at the basket the things they bought, between the shoppings was 2 bottles of beer and a bottle of wine.I wait the cashier told something and don't allow them buy alcohol......I surprised saw her didn't do or say anything. She finish her work let the children pay the money and took the things including the drinks and go..
It wasn't the first time i see something like these and even to sell alcohol is against the low any kid can go and but very easy.Of course we don't must forget the kids parents that they sent them to buy alcohol...
What is the situation at your country? Is it so easy for the kids they buy alcohol?
I still can't understand those kind of parents...or I'm over reacting?

Well, to tell you the truth, it is the same everywhere, be it your country or anyother country. There will always be people who care more about money then the basic's of life, and it will always be upon us, to give the children some wisdom about life.

It's illegal in England and they are very strict about it. People go around small shops with youngsters posing as real shoppers to catch the shop keepers out, if the under age child buys the alchohol they take it outside to the inspectors who then come back into the shop to speak to the shop keeper and they do get in trouble.

In my country,i also see some children drink, and even smoke,i think it's very bad for their health.and i know that most of them are influenced by others around them, especially their parents.Parents are the first teacher of their children,if they don't set a good example ,their children will follow them. And some of the children want to grow up more quickly, want to be mature,so they drink or smoke .I think this is some of the reasons why the children drink.

Here the drinking age is 21. If you get caught buying it..you get a fine from the police if you are under age. If you get caught selling it to someone underage they can close your store! It's not worth it at all here. Alaska has some of the toughest drunk driving laws in the United States. They have "testers" go around to the stores and test the clerks by hiring a 16yr old kid to go in and attempt to buy booze. If the kid gets sold the booze or the clerk fails to identify a fake id, the clerk loses their job, the store is often forced to close for a period of time to "retrain" all it's employees. It's kind of severe really, but in the end it keeps the booze out of the hands of kids that will only kill themselves with it anyway.
