well I'm off to go see the new pirates movie and i was wondering, has anyone seen it yet? if you have could you tell me why some people are saying its a bad movie, because as far as i can tell since the first two movies were godly the third one should be worth my 10' dollars right?

I hope people don't just dismiss the third pirates movie so easily. I think the reason why some people can't relate to this third installment is beacause it has deeper and more personal issues. It basically explores the different emotional and psychological issues of each character. The philosophic taste to it just makes it a little hard to digest. I prefer 1 and 2 better because they were happier movies. I have enough of my own insanity.

I liked the deeper look into the characters pysche, made it advance so much on the other films. I thought they did it in just the right amount, the character development didn't bog down the film's plot or action or general entertainment value. I thought they did a very good job jugging everything - all the details were spot on in my opinion!

they didnt realy go into details of the characters...the main reason i belive people were confused is because they couldnt grasp the first hour of the movie(inside davy jones locker) and if you didnt get that then the rest of the movie is pretty much confusing

People are saying it's a bad movie?? What??? Why??? I don't understand!!! It's sooo absolutely awesome - everything a film should have!!!! And I recommned everyone see it and make sure you stay til the end of the credits - it helps give the film a proper ending!!! It's soo cool, no idea why people wouldn't like it. Who's saying it's bad?

I'm not sure i just got back and well, even if the movie was bad (which it wasn't) it would be made better because they shot a freaking monkey out a cannon

I enjoyed the movie even with the confusion of all the double, triple, quadruple , ... crosses then all of a sudden it is all quiete, I was just frustrated as about halfway through I had about guessed the ending, at least for Will and Elizabeth, and the small role of Captain Norrington. The fact that I had not seen the 2nd in ages resulted in a little confusion. When the Dvd comes out I am definetly going to set them up and watch them all in a row. Even with all this, I did thoroughly enjoy it.

I suspect that a lot of the bad reviews are because it's got some slow points and it's 2 hours and 45 minutes long. That's way longer than most people's attention span. I will admit that there were a couple of parts where I was a little bored, and I started half dozing off towards the end, but I managed to stay awake and watch all of it. I'll definitely pick it up on DVD, but I doubt I'll go see it again in the theater. Once was plenty for me! :)
