which brand of camera do you think is better? To name a few: Sony? Cannon? Olympus? Etc?
I knew differnt brands have common feutures among them but I also believe that these brands have its own unique feutures. So which do you think?

For me Canon is number one. I use Canon Power Shots S3 digital camera which have 6 million pixels and image stabilizer. For DSLR cameras I am again on Canons side. Why? Canon EOS series are slightly more expensive then Nikon D series. What is the point then? Canon objectives are cheap and you can pick between various objectives. On the other site Nikon objectives are very expensive and you can pick between few of them.
Quality of the pictures in DSLR segment depends on quality of objectives and lens you use! So I go for Canon...

i think cannon are the best in camera's i am having one cannon camera 710IS 7.1 mega pixel and auto controls as well as manuals too (all) and shake control too so it wont result blurry pics i like its result too much its crystal clear and so sharp.. cannon offers too much in a really low price (compared to others such as nikon, sonys) i must say give it a try its a budget camera with features of a high end camera =)

I think in terms of digital SLRs, the best cameras you can buy are Nikon and Canon. If I was going to buy a rangefinder, I'd go way over the top and spend thousands on a Leica. For amateur photography, I think that Samsungs and Olympuses do the best cameras. Although, I'm a photography buff so I'm a bit of an elitest. x
