Not my will...

I was struck by this today: I read the same words over and over until I don't get the full impact of them. I was thinking of when Jesus said, "Nevertheless, not my will, but Thine, be done," in the Garden of Gethsemane. I realized that what He really said went something like this: "No matter how I really feel about it, or how much I don't want to do it, YOU do what YOU have planned, instead of listening to me."
That put it in perspective for me. How many times have I passed over that, and, while marveling at the obedience of Christ to the cross, I never realized how deep His obedience to the Father was.

That has for several years been one of my favorite scriptures in the bible - I mean think about it, this is Jesus knowing what torture and pain was going to be inflicted on him yet he still was willing to leave it in God's hands, to do as his Father decided.

Luke 22:44 Tell about how he started to suffer even before He was portrayed. I just learned this recently. I had always thought That his suffer started when he was scrounged. As I read the bible more and more these little details come out.. Some times we read but miss different thing. That is why we should read the bible every day. I think that we should pray with the same intensity. But some times it hard to.

I agree that we need to read the Bible and pray every day. Prayer comes in many flavors, though. Sometimes it's intense, other times, it's lighthearted, but always an exchange with our Father. It's OK to pray in different ways and intensities as long as we pray.

Yeah I have realized this too. I know when my son was born 3 months early I was afraid he would die. I would love to say that I didn't pray for him to rally and come home quickly. I would love to say that my only prayer was thy will be done. I CAN say that I did both.
The Father answered my prayers and his will was for my son to come home a whole month before his due date.

Awesome isn't it. That's what I want. His will not mine. And that in itself is selfish. I wish I could be more like Jesus.

I have heard that at the time when JESUS were on that moment of time, when the sweets from HIS forehead became blood and said that Father, "it is not my will but your's will be done" while prayin' on the garden. He have seen that He will going to sacrifice HIS LIFE for the sake of all, from PAST TO THE FUTURE'S sin and weaknesses, but still, right after the offering of HIS own life, some people continue not to believe HIM and even does not recognize HIM as the SON OF THE LIVING GOD whome once stayed with us here on our Mother Earth. As we know that JESUS was a real man and a real GOD. JESUS did give HIS ASSURANCE for us HIS LOVE and for that HE GIVE HIS LIFE, some or many of us continue to do the same sin we have done everyday and that is JESUS want's to voice from the HEAVEN TO HIS FATHER. With too much believe in HIS FATHER and as a SON continue to follow HIS WILL which is HIS GODLY WILL because now HE understand much more how human is weak and believe's too much that if without HIM which is experienced in any fields of MAN HISTORY upon being as Man then the word's came from HIS mouth which say's "Father not my will but your will be done. That what GOD's is all about, He means LOVE.
