why do people keep on adding frainds they dont know?

popularity would be a fit word for it. even i add some friends but usually all i added is the one i personally meet with or known for times, but as far as i known some of young one tried to fill their friendster so they boast it some friends of them that they have a lot of friends.

"friends"ter that is the name of the site.. i only add those who am acquainted with, they maybe relatives, schoolmates (HS to college), colleagues or former colleagues or friends i have known for a long time.. theres no contest on having the most friends but its only a means to have a communication with those you now.. have friends who deleted their accounts already since one of her "supposed" friend saved her pictures and used them! so just beware on who you add..

It has nothing to do with breed. We choose our friends because we have something in common with. I always check their profile and see if I would coment on any of their discussions then I will accept their friendship. And if it doesnt work out we can always deleate them.

well, I usually add anyone who adds me, I dont know, I dont really know what the big deal is if you dont want to add someone then just deny them.

oh I didnt realize you were talking about friendster until I posted my discussion, Friendster, myspace, things like that have pretty much turned into a popularity contest, I agree it is sad and kind of sucks. But that is the way people are, kind of takes ya back to high school doesnt it?
