What Are You Looking At?

Every time I log on, I see that at least two people have looked at my profile that day, I'm sure some of you have many more. However, they are not reading my discussions, and I think I have a little something for every taste- lots of different subjects. So why are people viewing profiles? Are they just trolling for dates, using the site for matchmaking? Or are they reading my discussions and not responding. Maybe I'm just not writing about anything interesting...Nah...That CAN'T be it!

i think people view others profile to find out some good friends , generally i think who share more or less similar interests with them, you are quite right, its not about discussions, but finding a friend, -as far as i know the other criteria they use while choosing friend besides interest is your star rating, your active participation on mylot and ofcourse your bulky points

Thanks for your response. If you have several active discussions it would be hard to tell that people are viewing your profile and not commenting, but that's when I notice it. (When I don't have any new comments.) I just wonder how they get to the profile and why they don't say anything. It's kind of like somebody driving up and looking at your house and then driving away.

While I read about the person and look at other things on their profiles, the main reason I look at people's profiles is to see what discussions they've started. if I don't see any discussions that interest me, I go on. Sometimes, I don't have time to respond to a discussion but I'll make a mental note that they had one I wanted to respond to, and I'll return to their profile later when I can respond. And why I look at yours is to see if you've put up a picture for your icon yet. :P
