Have just come in here and read a discussion which is quite obvious the person who started it has been drinking or maybe even high and is bad mouthing another member. Whether this other member has done the same, I do not know, but find it quite disgusting that this type of attitude is going on in here! Tolerance is a part of life that seems to be little of these days, but there is no need for abuse and offensive behaviour. Some growing up needs to be done! Vent over! Have a nice day! :)caramello.

I feel that taking responsibility for your actions is important both offline and online. I'm not really fond of those types of social games.
If someone were to start a discussion on mylot badmouthing me, I would probably just laugh. While I do really care about the opinions of my friends on here, anything anyone else said wouldn't hurt me a bit. There are far more important things in life to worry about.

*nods* I feel sad sometimes, thinking about what people's lives must be like to put mylot ahead of other things. I mean, I like posting here, and I have friends here that I consider real friends. But I also have a husband, a child, a job, offline friends, etc.
I have a couple of times gotten really annoyed because of something on mylot, but if I walk away from it for a few minutes, it's generally forgotten already.

Hi caramello, I think far to few people are held to task over their "attitudes" and in todays way of life for these opinions to still be held let alone expressed on here is sad!!

I actually took a break from mylot the past few days because of all the crap that was going on. People sharing their dirty laundry of who did what and other people coming on protecting people they don't even know. Some people take this message board way to seriously. They need to grow up. I passed junior high and high school a long time ago and don't need this crap. I feel exactly how you feel.

I know the member you are talking about. It is true tyhat online and drinking DO NOT MIX well at all, but the person will have to deal with that when they sober up. Until then I don't see how adding fuel to the fire is about to help? The person being badmouthed should just bite their tounge until they know this person is no longer drunk and then ask them PRIVATLEy what the problem is.

But having sdaid that I have the person who is not sober in my friends, yet don't know the full story. Just thinking that that is how it should be done.

I am agree to you all of us should take responsibilty of what we are doing here what kind of content we are posting. we must care about such silly mistakes which may turn out in even deletion of our account from mylot.
lets all work for making mylot a best place to intract.

I agree with you, there is no need for any of that sort of thing in here, I think we all have our own problems and certainly don't need negatives when we come in here, personaaly I like to sit here with a cuppa and relax so I am not looking for stuff like that...

I know the discussion you are referring to and I was shocked to see it.I didn't respond to it as it quite upset me to see a friend of mine abused like that for no apparent reason.I didn't respond because I didn't want the discussion to keep popping up,I'd rather it just disappeared.Besides I know the person being abused could handle it himself!

I hadn't seen this post, but then I only came back after a weeks break a couple of days ago, and I'm here sporadically at best right now.
I've seen with Mylot recently that there is more and more bad mouthing members and abuse going on, and it's not fair or right. When I first joined Mylot back in February, the members were proud of being part of a forum that didn't resort to name calling and abuse of members.
However, thats what this place is now becoming. When did it all start to fall apart? there are no hard and fast answers, but people seem to believe that they can get away with this crap. I thank god that there are still some members out there who look out for each other. So long as we continue to do this, the abusers will never win.

I haven't been here much lately, but it seems as if it's been a real soap opera. You're right, Caramello. A lot of users need to grow up. This is an adult forum, not Romper Room! I've had messages from 2 of my friends who have left Mylot because of this type of thing. I do hope that the administration starts tracking this and does something. Have a good Holiday, everyone!
