Yes, I love to walk, too. I try to walk at least 5 times a week for about 45 minutes a day. It seems so refreshing and relaxing to take a nice morning walk. I love to just let my mind wander and think of all sorts of things while I am out walking. I walk through the small city where we live and enjoy looking at the homes, landscaping, etc. It gives me ideas sometimes for our own home. Now that the warmer weather is here, I will have to start much earlier. We do have a treadmill but I just don't enjoy walking on it. It is sooo boring..lol

I agree, a treadmill is boring, even if you have the TV on..I got rid of my treadmill and switched to a stationary bike. I wish I could walk around my neighborhood. There are no sidewalks. I do if I'm alone but not with the lil ones..its hard to push a stroller on the grass...haha I do believe that walking is the best form of exercise

Well, yes. A stroller is VERY frustrating while trying to push on the grass. Some people can walk and tone up and lose weight. It improves my breathing and I am sure it is wonderful for lowering blood pressure and cholesterol, but, it just doesn't drop the weight off of me like aerobics and strength training. I can walk daily for months, I will not lose weight and my abs will not tighten up. I wish it were that easy :) I do walk very briskly, also. I am sure it has benefits to the overall health picture. I just wish it took care of EVERYTHING.

wouldn't that be great that walking would take care of our whole body...then we would just have to do one workout a day..haha but i guess, nothing worth while comes easy..

I love going for walks too. I go for walks with my mom pretty often, and it gives us a nice chance to talk and catch up, and also some good exercise. Lately, I've been doing a lot more walking around town to help with cutting down on my gas expenses too!

no, I don't. I get tired so easily. I just get a ride even when the place I need to go is shot-distanced

I like to walk, even for a long distance, sometimes I use my bike when I want to make it in less time.

I love to go walking too. After a busy work in day time, then it is very good to enjoy the scilent evening. We often go to walk with my bf after dinner, then we can have a sound sleep. Now it is 3:26 a.m., but I still type responses on mylot, I don't want to sleep, because i'm very confused. I can't open my e-gold account, and I don't know how to change dollars in paypal to RMB. So i'm very anxious. I can't go to sleep. I have no real job, i want to make more money online, but it is more difficult to earn money online than real life. Perhaps I should find a job in real life.

I just hate the idea of walking. I know it's a great way to keep shape and shed the pounds..I just can't stand it...Lately though I have been getting better at walking places and just getting out of the house all together. I want to be healty and look good doing it.. So if it means walking to the store or around the block I think I can do it. If not you can find me on a bike those I like a lot better.

I love to have long walks. It's a way for me to keep things off my mind since I focus on the things around me.

I've tried all different kinds of exercise, but nothing beats walking outdoors. It is my time for peace, thinking and meditating. I may be in a small minority, but I love the early morning.

I also love to go walking in a park nearby especially in early morning it refreshes and relaxes you and you feel recharged for the day ahead. You feel good about yourself as it is safe, easy form of exercise esp. in one walks at brisk pace and it helps burns calories from our body and helps us stay fit. It is good for our lungs, heart to as we breath deeply inhling fresh air and increased blood circulation in the body.

I don't particularly like to walk but doing so is a gentle reminder that we should be thankful that we have healthy limbs to travel the distances. If we think of the less fortunate, it may help give us some pause to stop complaining about what we don't have, and instead look at what we have. Of course, it is easier said than done. But hey, here's a thought. :P

I like to walk, too, especially if the weather is nice. I walked the 10 blocks to and from the library today and it did feel good....but it was very hot today! I downed a bottle of water when I came home!

I enjoy walking too. It makes me relax and forget about the stresses from the day at work or whatever is bothering me at the time.
