john grisham anyone?

john grisham book - john grisham's book that does not involve a lawyer or any law for that matter. a first for him since he is known to be a great storyteller about law and lawyers.

i love john grisham's books. his stories are very entertaining, informative and captivating. i savor every reading time i spend with his novels, sometimes even in conflict because i want to read as fast so i could get to the end immediately but part of me wants to read slow so as not end the story at once! LOL! anyway, i'm about to start reading "a painted house" his novel wherein it does not involve anything about lawyers or anything about law. has anyone read this book? what can you say about it?

I have read most of his books. The last one was The Testament. John Grisham is one my favorite novelists since he started with The Firm, I have always looked forward to his new books. Even though I am not familiar with the jargon in the courtroom nor the lingo of law, he makes it easy for the readers to relate to each of his story. I have also watched the movie versions of his stories like the The Firm and The Pelican brief among others.By the way, what is his latest book now, do you know?

The Innocent Man is his newest book. I have it but haven't read it yet, I am waiting since I don't know when he will publish another book =) He did an interview on Dateline about it last week, I recorded it but haven't watched it yet =) This book is suppose to be based on a real story, I don't know much else about it yet though.

sure, i would love too. and i think a lot of mylotters will also be willing to share to you everything they have learned. first, you have to share and discuss topics in your chosen interest. when you post or start a discussion, you should try to lengthen it because i think mylot rates our responses by the quality and not the quantity of our responses. be active. and, i learned of this just yesterday, when you reach 100 points, you would be able to have a star right beside your name. isn't it great?! plus, and this is a very big plus, you get to earn for all the discussions/responses you make:) so, go,go,go!

Grisham is a great writer. He knows how to keep his audience riveted. I have read the first four or five of his novels before I switched my focus back to non-fiction. I think that I might have to catch back up on them when I get the chance.

I just finished "The King of Torts" yesterday. And before that, I read "The Broker". I got a bunch of his books from a yard sale and slowly making my way through them. I've enjoyed every single one of them so far. He's a great writer and keeps me turning the pages and not wanting to let the book down. I have not read "A painted house" yet. But I'm sure it's just as good.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE John Grisham, he is the best author ever!! A Painted House is a great book, you will have to read it slowly though because it isn't a long book =) I read it a few years ago so I don't remember alot, it is way different from any of his other books, but very good!! I totally cen relate with wanting to read really fast to find out what happens, but not wanting the book to end, it is kinda disappointing once you finish a good book!

Grisham is also one of my favorites, mari_skye. I have not read anything by him for a couple of years now, though. Yes, I read "A Painted House" by Grisham. It was very touching, and not the usual fare you would expect coming from him. Who else do you like to read? I like Jeffrey Deaver, John Sandford Iris Johanssen, and Stephen King is my favorite author of all times.

i'm done with the book and i must say it was very engaging. the storytelling from the point of view of a seven-year old was very matter of fact and you just can't help but admire him. there's a combination of maturity and innocence in him.
