How do you manage your finances when emergencies come?

I don't really get in situations like that. No one is really poor here in denmark and health care is free. If I need additional money I'm sure I could get some from the bank. It must be hard living in a country with no security net.

so far, no real emergencies happened to me or my family yet and for that i am very much thankful. but i do know that i won't be so lucky in the future. my parents are not getting any younger and i know for a fact that a lot of health risks are involved with old age. so one of the main reasons why i'm really into saving right now is to have at least a ready amount for any emergency that comy my way. as of now, i have a separate account which i call my "emergency fund" as they say, it's best to be prepared than not at all. i've also purchased a life insurance policy that includes accident insurance and which can be extended to my parents.

That`s a very serious problem in my family too. My father is very ill and we often need to visit hospital. The medicines and procedures there are very expensive.When he needs operation- it`s very expensive too. And we are in trouble. Usually we ask our relatives and friends arround for help.
