the two PEOPLE we tend to LOVE AND HATE at the same time.

OUR MOTHERS and yes, we love them so much. how can we not? they've carried us in their womb for nine months, carried us for a year or so until we've learned to take our first steps, gave us the education they can afford, and since the moment we were concieved, regardless of how many years, the cord's been cut...they will always be a part of us...but why can't they be like our bestfriends?! who can understand us and who is always their to just listen...and NOT NAG?! not to mention the curfews, the poking into our stuff, the needless comments on how we dress and speak, the disapproval on almost anything... And yes, they will continue to fuss over us even if we are old enough to drive, in front of almost everybody, worrying over anything needlessly, forever beaming with pride. Its the original love-and-hate relationship...children adores their mother until their old enough to scream for independence...but girls tends to grow up like their mom..and boys end up marrying their "mothers". its a cycle...hmmm but then again...life is. OUR CHILDREN we adore them. they came from us...but why are they so...different?! they don't understand why we fuss over them?! do they want indifference rather than care and attention? don't we labor many hours a day for them to have good education and to have food on the table?1...for them to buy that clothes they insist of wearing askew...why can't they come home early?! haven't they heard of that recent episode where a son was mugged and now he is dead? aren't they affected that there was this daughter who got raped? aren't they concerned that we have to stay up to wait for them regardless of the fact that we've been working 8 hours and that we need to rest becuase, sleep or no sleep, we have to go do our jobs to get paid?! can't they understand that we have so many things to worry over that it will be such a big help, if they do things without an argument? can't they see we are tired? we were also young once...but why can't they take our word for it?!and to think he's got my smile...and she's got my face...children...the type of pain we wouldn't want to miss in this life...if only they stay young and sweet forever...and grow up when we are already ready and rested. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MOTHERA AND CHILDREN, IN ITS SIMPLICITY...IS VERY COMPLEX TO UNDERSTAND. THEY GAVE US OUR LIVES..BUT WE ARE NOT THEIR LIFE NOR ARE THEY OURS. WE LOVE THEM DEARLY, BUT WE ARE SEPARATE INDIVIDUALS CAPABLE OF LIKING AND DISLIKING DIFFERENT THINGS, BORN IN DIFFERENT GENERATIONS, TAUGHT BY LIFE IN DIFFERENT WAYS. YES, BOTH CAN ANNOY EACHOTHER TO DEATH BUT EACH COMFORTS EACHOTHER THAT NO COFFEE, CIGARETTE, CHOCOLATE, AND FLOWERS CAN GIVE. THANK GOD FOR MIRACLES LIKE THAT...

Mother loves daughter, daughter loves children but children are selfish and they think they no everything. You are not the only person who is facing this every mother in this earth. May God bless our children.

*nods. the common theme when it comes to children is that they think the world revolves around them. hmmm...maybe because...mothers tend to build the world around them... oh well...nobody said life is fair, right?
