why they make macau as legal gambling island?

I cant imagine a small island! not really beautiful and people cant even speak english well... but take note!!!! a place where u can see too many casinos and its legal gambling island...what so special in Macao? if u happen to visit Macao don't try to gamble you will lost all your money......and drown yourself in the island too many businessman lost their money in Macao and and lost their lives........

correct me if i'm wrong for what i know macau is not a island its connected near to china. and btw macao is not the only region that legalize gambling well you can seen in tv about las vegas the largest gambling place in the world.

thanks for the comments yeah i know its part of china, i mean here in Asia i only know macau as asia gambling place too many casinos and they were planning again to build las Vegas Asia in macau....why its not leagal to other asia?
