I know that a lot of people very strongly about where their chicken comes from.I try and eat free range chicken whenever possible but as a student i am forced to buy the cheap meat.I feel guilty as i know what happens to chickens that are sold cheaply, but financially i dont have an option.i used to eat chicken from KFC often then i found out what really happens to them and i was disgusted-i dont anymore.others know this, but continue to eat KFC because it tastes good.what are your views?

i still continue to eat chicken in KFC. i haven't heard the news though since here in the Philippines there is no such news. and even if we heard it we really don't care unless if the news is all about bird flu. so far KFC here in our country still build their reputation in maintaining the best quality of the food they offer...

you are lucky to have Mc Donald in the Philippines as they still offer rice..and many people eat rice..but in the US you don't get that choice..it is not even a chicken piece but a chicken bits which is a by product to look like lump..but kids like this as there is dipping sauce..more sugar and salt...and the perservatives are so many they don't list them all..
but if you eat this once a week you will probably be ok..but some Americans eat up to two meals a day in a fast food restaurant...child obesity is about one in three children..besides the bad food the chidren are suffering from too much TV and video games and lack of physical exercise...my wife used to eat "Kentucky" in Tokyo Japan...but now she is overweight, high chloestral, and high blood pressure and even with a restricted diet she has too take meds to keep her blood pressure down...she just came back from a 45 day trip to the Philippines and she was very sick as her immune system is very low and she cannot tolerate the heat, food, or pollution...but she has been away from the Philippines for 25 years and not used to public transportation of the Philippines..sometimes it is hard to go back to how we grew up..i grew up on a farm..and i don't think i would like to do that again...lol..

I have a feeling that it might have been me that put you off KFC for life... I'm a veggie, as you know, but even if I did decide to start eating meat again, I wouldn't eat it from chain fast food stores. KFC, Burger King, McDonalds, Pizza Hut and the like are all guilty of mistreating and force-feeding their livestock. I would always buy free-range and I'd rather go without meat than buy the cheap stuff! You should see what goes into Asda value sausages. Euuugh. x

I have lived near chicken farms and still do. KFC raises their own chickens so, I got a pretty good idea of the process. They are raise better that some of the other animals that I have seen on some farms. I guess my opinion is pretty much non-commital. I love KFC chicken and probably will always do so.

I am a vegetarian , i dont eat chicken or muttom or beef or any seafood. my hubby is a hardcore non-vegetarian. he has eaten all sorts of non-veg like prawns, shrimps, buffalo wings, chicken, mutton, crabs, lobsters, red lobster, shark wings, snake, stuffed snake, octopuses , fried ants and many many more that i dont even remember now. it hardly matters to me because he never ever forced me to eat anything from his plate when he orders such dishes.
he loves KFC's chicken a lot and is a fan of the way they make. he says that the taste is umcomparable.

I understand living on a students budget. When you have to save money, you're hungry all the time and have to sacrafice quality. However, as long as the product is real chicken, then it is fine and safe to eat. The problem is buying imitation chicken and rib meat products, you want to stay away from products like that. But, KFC, Churches Chicken, The Golden Chicken...places of that nature are fine.
For me personally, I don't like to eat out anymore b/c of reports on the news about unclean dining places and so forth, so I perfer to cook my own chicken. But, I will go someplace and purchase some chicken strips or popcorn chicken, as long as it's real chicken!
So just go with the real stuff and you will be fine.

Even though I think the chickens should be treated with respect then I don't really care where my food comes from, it must be up to the politicians to make sure that animals are treated right in my country. As long as I can buy the meat in stores I don't care where it's from.
