Hello ranikrishnan. First of all, I'm not a stock expert but I have written articles about stocks for a client. Based on what I've read, daytrading is something people get into to make quick gains. Day tradders buy stock and sell in a matter of minutes or hours. The problem with this is that you earn only a few pennies per stock sold. The key then is to sell as many stocks as you can so that you can have a bigger total gain. Online experts don't seem to think much about daytrading and will still recommend making long term investments for bigger gains. Then again, serious, long term investments involve great risks and analytical work. You have to find good stocks to make sure that you don't lose. Some brokers use extensive analysis to find the best stocks but then some of them still end up with loses. I think though that dealing with stocks really does involve a lot of risks regardless of what technique you use for trading. You will get great rewards though if you make the right investments.

thts a very detailed answer, thx. i am a writer too writing seo and key rich articles. sometimes share trading articles do come up, thts why asked the question.i think the brokers benifit more than freelance traders. they are stuck up with what the broker says and ultimately lose money. many women are lured now into this in their free time. many bank employees i know are invovled in this during office hours.

Hi : Day trading simply means you enter & exit your trading positions within the market hours. Unless you have mastered the relevant skills to day trade forex, stocks or futures etc. it would be a bit difficult for you to profit from this way of trading because you could run up a lot in your commissions fees. Why don't you test your skills with paper trading first. Once you're getting consistent profits which could cover your commissions, you can then switch to trading with real money. Hi : Paper trading means you are testing out your trading skills in a simulated trading account with virtual money. Most online trading account should have a paper trading account available. Thanks for visiting my blog :) Yours Truly, Tony Chai a disabled trader http://options4u.blogspot.com

I have been changing my investment stratergy as per market conditions. I invested mainly in the ipo market last year and made a good return on my investment. Earlier during the bjp regime i invested mainly in potential disinvestment stocks which rose when the final bids flowed in. Nowadays i am concentrating on large caps and turnaround companies apart from selective investments in ipo's. I have tried day trading too and have earned money in it but i have seen that in the process i have lost shares which i had actually purchased for long term investments and had to be satisfied with small amount of profit.

I am about $40 000 in stocks. I started with $50 000. Needless to say you really have to do your homework if this is where you are planning on going. The biggest tip I have is to diversify. Putting all your eggs in one basket (e.g., the gold sector) can lead to disaster. That is what happened with me and I am just starting to recover. cheers,

Hi, I'm in the stock market for a few months and I'm still losing money. For me, I prefer day trading or short term trading but sometimes it is quite impossible to do so because it needs time to wait for the stock to increases in the price to have the chance to sell the stock. Anyone who is very good in stock trading? Any technique that is very good and best for short term trading? Please share. Thanks. :-)

I prefer day trading. If you are free and have ambition to make fast money, day trading is best option. Renowned banks have started online shares trading. They provide daily tips, market reports, company reports etc which are very helpful.
