Are you one of those ppl whose home has a theme? I see ppl's home with a color scheme or a country, antique, ect. theme. I'm one of those ppl who just put things in a room that are needed and I don't worry about color themes and such. Which one are you? LIVE IN PEACE

I don't really believe in themes, I look more for functionality than whether or it has some kind of message. Room size, storage space, living space, and usefulness means a lot more to me than some theme. If they had a theme built around dancing girls, then I might would reconsider...:)

I would not say there is a theme to my home. But I do like light and airy rooms, with not much clutter. My style is quite minimalist. So maybe it would be correct to say there is a minimalist, mediterranean style to my home.

We don't really have a theme. My husband and I used to do a lot of travelling and in our years of travelling and living in different countries, we have collected quite a bit of items and souvenirs. We have different types of items in different sections of our house..we have an Asian section, Latin American section, etc. If we don't have a toddler running around the house, our house will probably look like a museum!! LOL!! We would have loved to do more but maybe when the kid is older. We don't worry too much about color schemes. We tend to go for something neutral since we have so many other things to draw attention to a room/space. People love coming to our house and browsing through all the stuff and I love explaining the history and meaning of different things to them. I love learning about different cultures and it's great to be able to showcase them this way.

I love decorating the house, so I try to has a theme everytime I change house decorations. At the moment, we are pretty busy with a beach theme. So almost all the wall painted in chalk white and white wooden floor and some old drift wood home decorations. Also few sea shells here and there...just plain and simple as my husband and I don't really like to many big/huge cabinet/closet in the house...

I worry about my house "flowing" together. I ended up doing mostly earth tones (blue, green, brown, beige) throughout the house for paint and decor involes alot of natural elements (rock, bamboo, etc). My husband however demanded one room and painted it purple. Thankfully I helped pick the final color of purple and it has a very grey hue....not scream in your face bubble gum purple.

we are moving in with my grandma on Monday. We didn't have a theme but she lives in a log house and her theme is black bears. She has them everywhere in the house now. It used to be deer but now it's bears. It works though cause of the log home.

We just moved and right now the only room in the house with a theme is my daughters bedroom. It is all done in light colors and butterflies. Her room was the first to be done becasue when we moved in it had really ugly wallpaper. Other than that we havn't really done anything else, but we have plans to soon. Our previous house was a rental and it didn't have any themes. I couldn't be bothered to do anyting with that house becasue we all hated it.

Nah, no theme. I'm sorta' like you. I put practical, useful things in a room most of the time. There is a basic color scheme in my bedroom, but other than that, I use neutral wall colors and I have hardwood floors, so I can pretty much change things around at whim.

my home is done in shabby chic :-) that means i have a few antiques, a few older pieces (our couch is 20 years old!) and some stuff that just looks rustic...this look is easy to achieve. i shop at thrift stores and antique markets and make some stuff myself.

I have a theme, and that theme is not to put anything up. I hate the place I live right now so I don't plan on making this place permanate. Since I'm not a lease I am continuing to look for another place. I did sort of have a color scheme at my old house. Black, white, and red in the bedroom, black and silver in the front room (along with just a hint of color in the pictures that I put up) I'm not one of those people obsessed with having everything perfect.

I don't have a theme, I try to use neutral colors so everything will match with a few accent pieces. That way I can change a few things and everything will seem fresh. I have one room I converted into a library/music room, and I might put up some music posters.

Oh my home has a theme alright! Crazy and eclectic! From one room to another there are all kinds of stuff. It's neat and tidy that's all I care about! I don't believe I have one bit of new furniture other than the bookshelves and tv stand I have bought. hehehe!
