Windows upgrade

Hello friends,
I want to know if I can upgrade my WinXP Spanish edition to Windows Vista English edition. Should the system allow me to do this? (I bought it from Spain last year and my wife she doesn't know spanish)

u should go for a clean install in my opinion.. because their will be too many applications install in ur pc and most of wont be compatiable with vista.. and usually vista do not let you upgrade with xp i mean that option is disabled when ever i tried installing vista on xp system so i boot from cd and go for a neat and clean install and i'll recommend you for this =)
