As I explore the Internet and MyLot more and more I am getting used to all the different net lingo that I see. When I first started all I knew was that LOL meant laughing out loud. How far I have come. I do think not knowing net lingo can be dangerous if you are a parent and your children use your computer a lot. For instance I have also learned that POS means parent over shoulder and the kids know how to minimize or exit a screen instantaneously. Do you think this can be a danger? How closely do you monitor your children when they are on the computer? p.s. I am still trying to figure out what :P means? LOL

I have learned alot of internet lingo also over the last 4 years of being online. I have also come to knowmany terms that are used on the internet and what they stand for. I always monitor my daughter when she is online and she is not allowed to visit many websites online because of the danger. I don't know what that sybol means either other than two eyes, mouth and a tongue sticking out, possibly.

Well everyone is close but...:P is blowing a raspberry. My oldest daughter is 21 now and it was she that monitored me! I started her at a very young age with DOS, and she just took off from there. Now she thanks me for allowing her the freedom to explore and see for herself, for trusting her to be responsible, independant, and strong. Now we both have to watch her sister or she'll download anything! That one wasn't at all interested in the computer, she's a gimp. That all said, can anyone tell me what NOS stands for on ebay? That place has a strange speedwriting all it's own...
