when your parents want to offload there problems onto you.
my dad has just split with his girlfriend of 3 years and is constently texting me and i just dont know how to deal with it. have tried telling him that its non of my business but then i feel bad because its my dad. the thing is i have never been in that position becasue i got with my parnter when i was 16 and i am still with him.
has anyone else had to deal with this and how do you deal with it?

I think you should just tell him. If you don't feel comfortable or don't know what to say, tell him that. He should understand.

cheekyvods, sorry for hearing that,i can feel your discomfortable feeling while talking about things like that.
i think there will be difference in different country or region,as a daughter she will not say anything in words to her father directly if a chinese girl were put the same situation.but she will express her disapproval in other ways, such as body language\phiz in face...
i don't know if i have express myself properly.
