You know, sometimes I go through these phases where all I do is talk. It's annoying to everyone around me, but I just can't stop. Does that ever happen to you?

That's a perfect example! I was just talking a mile a minute and it just kept coming. You know, you tell me to shut up a lot. It's kind of rude.

Sometimes I talk because the silence makes me uncomfortable, like wondering what they are thinking so interrupting their thinking is my goal. But then I start and I get so passionate about stuff that I can't stop. Then feeling stupid later because they probably didn't want to hear all that. Depends on the feed back I guess. I get started on some discussions with my hubby and I know sometimes he says what he thinks I want to hear just to get me to shut up. He won't admit it though.

Talking to fill the silence... that's a classic. I do that a lot when I'm around people that don't know me that well.
