I think there is nothing better then a really good hamburger on a hot summer day. I'm not into fast food burgers, so l try all different ways of making my burgers at home and they still seem boring and tasteless. How do you make your burgers or what restaurant do you think makes the best burgers?

I make thai burgers which honestly are incredibly good. You just mix mince with chopped peanuts (about 40 gr), breadcrumbs (about 55 gr), 2 shallots, a nice amount of fresh basil, lemongrass (fresh and powder), dry chili flakes and some salt and pepper. Make them into patties and grill for a few minutes on each side. Personally I think they're really tasty.

Use ground chuck or sirloin, they are low in fat. Or check the meat before you buy it, and get the 7% fat, it is more expensive but worth it. Add a packet of french onion soup mix (you know, the stuff you use to make french onion dip with) along with some worchestshire sauce, or some A-1 steak sauce. McCormack makes some seasonings for the grill. I have used them several times, just spinkle the spices on the meat and rub it in before you grill them.
If you wanna try pre-made patties, go with Bubba Burgers, they are 1/3 lb, but low in fat and very good. I have even tried one that had chopped jalapenos in it, it was good and not too hot. LOL. Murry's Steaks, makes some good patties too, some with cheese inside, or one had pizza sauce inside of it, mmm, that was good.
For eating out and getting a good burger, well it depends on where you live. Here there is a place called "Five Brother Burgers" excellent burgers. Otherwise "Denny's All American" burger isn't bad, or the "IHOP" burger from "IHOP". "Max and Erma's" has a great burger too, if there is one of those near you.

Barbeque Canadian Beef.
Keep the fat content low, the patties you buy in the box are in the 70% in percentage. If you can get leaner meat, I think it's best.

I like hamburgers too, but they are now a no-go area for me because of the fat content. We used to buy meat and mince it up - well I didn't but I just watched - LOL. Flour went into it and sometimes some herbs and spices with a touch of curry powder sometimes.
When out and about I used to like the hotdogs more than the hamburgers with lots of onions and mustard. Now I can get some low-fat substitutes but they tend to be pretty tasteless, so I tend not to bother.

Heres a few things I do.
When making patties, I dump the ground beef in a bowl, add finely chopped onions, peppers, garlic, garlic powder, spike seasoning, salt and pepper. Then I make 2 thin patties, put cheese on top of one, then top it with the 2nd patty, seal it up and voila, you have a cheese filled hamburger patty.
Try bbq sauce as one of your condiments on the bun
Try a fried egg on your burger - sounds weird but tastes good!

I do my own burgers too. And, I don't use cheap ground beef. I try to use ground chuck or ground sirlon. Just one really good burger is worth ten times more than ten bad tasting burgers. Here's my burger trick. Add your spices to the raw beef before you form it into a patty to cook. I use basil, garlic, salt, pepper, anything else I have around. And, then I top the burger with a couple slices of raw onion and gril on the counter top grilling machine. It's one of the best burgers on the planet, I think! If you really don't want all the juices to drain out of your burger, you could try wrapping the patty in aluminum foil for five or ten minutes and grilling, or baking. That way it would bake or grill in it's own juices and not taste dry. Finish up by putting hamburger patty directly onto cooking surface and cook till no longer pink inside. Bon Appetite!

Spice your hamburger up with a spicy caramelized Mayo:
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook onion in hot oil for 7 minutes or until browned (caramelized), stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium. Add shallot and curry paste; cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Transfer mixture to a mixing bowl; cover and chill. Stir mayonnaise or salad dressing into chilled onion mixture. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until ready to serve.
Combine ground beef, shrimp, dill, sea salt, and pepper in a large bowl; mix well. Shape mixture into 4 patties about 1 inch thick. Grill 18 -23 minutes.Enjoy!
