I spent 10 years as a nurse....this is a remedy that always helps....take butter flavoreed Crisco..apply a thin coat on your feet then apply white cotton socks and go to bed...if you do this every night for a couple of weeks then you will be able to do it 2-3 times a week to keep them that way...
It really does work....hope this helps.

I really thought this was just an age thing. I noticed my mom's feet were real dry when I was young and my fee were not. Now that I'm old LOL my feet are real dry too and I use alot of lotion, but I'm gonna try this crisco idea, sounds good.

Hi Tina, that sounds like a good idea. However, I was wondering about the need for butter flavored over the regular one. Does that make a difference?
For those who will try, seran wrap would make the oil get absorbed better and prevent it from getting on the socks. You can tell I have tried this before, but not with crisco.

i have the same problem. one thing that really helps me is to slather a LOT of lotion, cream, whatever you like to use all over your feet cover them in saran wrap or whatever wrap you like for 30 minutes or however long you can each evening and it REALLY helps them! then just wipe off the excess. I usually do it after a bath/shower.

Get soft feet for sandal season--by applying a thin layer of Vaseline to your heels and soles when wearing socks and sneakers..
