Sounds lovely to have a cherry tree in your back garden. I love cherry blossom in particular (for blossom) but am not very fond of eating cherries. With two children and a dog we have more of a playground garden than a growing one. Our neighbours have a plum tree so I suppose we would have room. We have quite a large oak tree between our garden and the neighbours at the bottom which takes a lot of the moisture from the ground. I am not sure produce would thrive very well here.

It's nice to have fruit-bearing plants nearby and so we can just pick the fruits anytime they are ripe and we feel like eating. Fruits are delicious and nutritious. I like to eat fruits, any delicious fruit.

Cheeries are plentiful here all summer long. My husband loves them even though he is allergic to them. Even though we have them growing in many back yards they are still extremely expensive to buy. I guess I will have to plant my own cherry trees.
