I am a witch and don't conform to any of the christian beliefs but I have encountered a problem...... my mother has informed me that my sister suffered demonic posession and then while in this state informed them that she was "satan" there to collect the soul? Personally, I think it is rubbish but I also at the same time know that there are negative forces who are not to be toiled with.... please advise..?!

Not at all, my faith and beliefs are quite intact, the problem is that I am encountering something I don't believe in, but they obviously do, I have no experience on the subject but it is in my nature to try and help people in need, especially my sister..... she is 18 years old and has muscle distrophy, is generally a soft hearted girl who has been through quite some physical and emotional trials. I do agree that the "satan" story is bull, or in my opinion anyway, but there is obviously something wrong which they are seeing as a demon. I thought if I know more on the subject that I can make an informed decision on how to help her. I have to go in there with facts in order to help her. Can't merely say there aint such a thing as saten.....

I think you can tell her sister and your parents that you do not bellieve in Satan. I think that would be beneficial to them. But knowing more of your sister's story, I believe even more strongly that she needs counseling. Having muscular dystrophy I am sure has serious affects on her emotions and mental state. She may be feeling as though she is somehow responsible for her illness. This is not uncommon. If your sister and parents are affiliated with a church, maybe they would be open to speaking to their pastor, if going to a counselor makes them uncomfortable. But I do urge you to show her love and compassion and do your best to get her some counseling.

I do not believe in Satan or in demons, except demons of the mind. I believe that most people who say they are possessed are really attention-seeking, although I'm not saying that is what your sister was doing. I do believe that there are dangerous negative forces that should not be messed with and I feel that, whether your sister is attention-seeking or not, she is in a very negative state. I suggest you and your parents call in the white light for guidance and protection and that you erase all negative feelings for your sister from your heart and from your mind. Send her only loving positing energy. This will help your sister and will, in turn, protect you from any negative energy that she may be sending - or that may be coming from her. Your sister could probably benefit from some counseling.

you don't say what the "problem" is...how is your mother telling you of possession exactly affecting you adversly...is it making you ponder your beliefs or something? What are you wishing us to advise you on?..whether or not to beleiev in possession?

That sounds like a load of rubbish. If you are a witch then, I guess you don't even believe in Satan, etc. so if you don't believe in those things, then you really shouldn't worry. And I think maybe your mother just doesn't like the idea of you being a witch. I see know reason why this story has anything to do with that though. I mean, as I say, you don't believe(I guess) in Satan so why would you believe that this happened?

You should find out if she has ever used an Ouiji board or tried to conjure anything at all.
