Did you keep a baby book for your children? Did you keep it updated? I started one right before my daughter was born, but stopped writing in it for the past year. How many of you have slacked off on it?

I wish I had one when I had my son 4 years ago. My husband has one which his mother started and then gave it to me to keep. It has his first baby photo ever, a lock of hair that was from his first haircut and a few other items. It was never completed. My husband actually created a website for my son and it has photos of him when he was born right up till now. He often posts comments on them too :)

I have 5 kids and I made baby books for maybe 2 of them. I so got over the pictures and writing it all down. Dont get me wrong they all had there millstones that I kept a mental memory about. But after taking care of so many kids at once I just couldnt do the books anymore.

I understand! I have kind of slacked off, and I only have one child! But with working, going to school and parenting, who has time for a baby book? LOL.

I did keep a baby book for my daughter who was born eight years ago. I did try my best to keep it updated faithfully for her first 2 years but after that I kind of slackened. When my son came along 2 years ago, I did not even have a baby book for him. I did not have the time for that, even though I would very much like to do it.

I have more than 1 for my daughter, i always put information in there & keep it pretty well updated, the only things i missed out on doing was the height & weight every month, there just wasn't anywhere close by where i could do it but i do it every so often so there is still some record of her growing in there! Mind you, she has the 'short' gene so she hasn't really grown a WHOLE lot - LOL! I plan on doing the same when we have baby #2 but i'm sure things will be the same, i wont get the height & weight every month but i think that's ok! I have millions of photos though for all milestones & other fun moments & i think that's definitely more important!

I slacked off the written baby book...But I keep a photo gallery online. This actually works well for me and my family because they have a photo record of both of my children. I feel a little guilty that I didn't keep up, but this is not something I do.

I started one for my first daughter, but 6 weeks after I had her I got pregnant again and after that I was just too tired to do anything.

I had five children. I kept a baby book on all five, but the first child has the most in it. I don't think you are slacking, you just have other responsibilities. I think it is more important to give your attention to your child than to a baby book.
