Moving to another house

I'm taking a break from packing my belongings as I write this. I'm moving out of this place pretty soon, back to our old house in some faraway podunk.
I don't like moving. I never liked moving. And I'm not gonna start with reasons like "I'm gonna lose my friends" and things like that--not yet. By far my biggest gripe about moving is packing. It is tedious, exhausting, and utterly boring. And I hate packing large objects that need assembling after--like this computer, which is going to be dismantled and boxed pretty soon. Sigh...but I can't do anything about it. I'll just finish packing my stuff I guess...

My condolences. I hate moving. I do want to move...as i am sick of the city I live in and want to move on to bigger and better things, but I don't wnat to actually move. It would be easier if i could just throw my cat and computer in the car and go. I really don't want to move my furniture or clothes or all my stuff that I would have to pack. I think I really just want to start over in a new place with new stuff, except the cat. I'll take her.

Have you heard of those movable houses? I saw those on TV when I was younger. It is, as the name suggests, a house that can be dragged around by truck to another destination, and the interior aspects like the rooms, etc are pre-assembled, they just need to be inserted into the house once the owner has decided on a location.
This would probably be really suitable for you, since you don't exactly want to move your stuff or get a new house. You could enjoy your old home in a new city :) Unfortunately it probably costs twice or thrice the price of building a regular house..

I wish I was the one that was moving ... I'm getting tired of this apartment, I want a house. Can't find a nice one (within my price range).

I moved twice before. The first time didn't really change anything because we just moved from my grandparents' house to another house a block away (same village) so I didn't really miss anything that much. The second time, I had to move cities. Even though the ride to my grandparents' place was about 15-20 minutes, we couldn't go there everyday anymore so that's what I missed. That's the only thing I didn't like about moving..

I had to move between countries at one point in my life. I couldn't go to any of my friends anymore :( But it was nice since it was an entirely new experience, and I met a lot of new friends...but now that I've moved back it's those new friends that I miss now. Moving sucks :(
