Look in your local newspapers.
Go to the courthouse, you can get up to 10 or more free
You will have to pay if you want more on the same day.
So its best to go every 3 days and always ask for the newest listings.
Be sure to check and see if they have any liens on them.
If they have a tax lien you should pick this one as an investment.
You pay the tax and they have to pay you plus the interest or they could
lose the house to you for the mere hundreds you paid for the tax.

yes, you can find forclosures at the courthouse. But did you know that you can also find people who are in preforclosure at the court house to. Preforclosure is before the lenders file a lawsuite, "Lis Penden". That lawsuite is what starts the forclosure process. If want to help people while getting cheap houses this is a good way. Just send them letters or contact them some how. Most of them would welcome your help.
