Hi Basid, I am happy you are proud to be a muslim. I am sure there are many devout and peaceful Muslims. As far as the origins of Islam is concerned I beg to differ with you. If you read up on the prophet Muhammed you will see that he started this religion in th 7th century after he had a series of visions. Islam is based on Jewish and Christian teachings. It has many elements of the teachings of the old testament, some of the same commandments ( example no pork ) and it honours Jesus as prophet and Mary (Miriam) Jesus's mother is also honoured. The difference regarding Jesus is that Christians believe God sent him to earth as a human being and he became the saviour to die for their sins. So to summarize: Christians believe Jesus was their saviour, Muslims believe he was a prophet and Jews believe he was a false Messiah. The earth came into existence millions of years ago. There were no human beings, animals or plants at the time. All those developped over time. There are many sites on the web that will give you information about the three major religions of the world, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. You might find of the facts really interesting. You might also be interested in reading about evolution and what the theories are even if you end up not believing them. Happy reading!

is this statement of yours based on emotion or pure facts. religion doesn't teach you to be proud .it teaches you how to be a good human being. its to childish to be emotional and say that statement like my country is the best.my town is the best.my religion is the best. i am not against islam or muslims .if you don't believe check my blog out http://sherpasimon.blogspot.com as far as i understand islam started when prophet mohammed was enlightened .and every one knows when and where prophet mohammed was born similarly christianity started after christ. buddism and jainism started at the same time in northern india. hindiusm during greek civilization and a little before .when earth came into existence there were no livingbeings .so what for any religion. religioin is only reqd by human beings .not for animals and plants .you need to do more research and study and be more rational on these matters rather being emotioanl and rational. sorry .for notbeing diplomatic .i didn't want to please you falsely.bye

for me the diffrent between muslim and christian is christian has new chapter in bible that muslim didnt in quran.this issue cause non-stop fighting between muslim and christian until now.muslim keep teaching moral value from the old traditions of quran,but christian teaching new chapter of bible as moral value.i believe that muslim and christian are from same viral once upon time.
