Do you use your real name on MyLot?

I always use the same username and where ever you see Hoghoney it is me. I dont use my real name because in a way there are to many sicko's that can take it and use it for all kinds of messed up stuff.

No, I don't use my real name. I don't see any reason why you should. All advice goes against it, and whether anyone calls me by my first name or my avatar name makes very little difference. I am getting fond of being called WP, and Wood, and Woody, and Piggey. I think it is all cute. I might start making peopl ecall me that in real life.

i dont use my real name, instead i use my nickname for each and every site i have had to sign up to. And if it requires a picture sometimes i do put in my real picture at other times i do not.

I too use the same name for everything online. It makes things much easier to remember lol, because I'm a member of a lot of places. However, if something calls for my real name, I WILL use it. My family and friends know that I have 2 blogs, and they have the addresses for them, and they know that if they want to read, they're more than welcome to. They just don't see the need. I'm one of those who says what I think regardless. If people don't like what I say, then they don't have to read or listen lol. My family and friends all know this about me, and it doesn't bother them. They know that when I give my opinion or point of view, at least I'm being honest.

no i dont, i dont know for me giving information to strangers specially in this kind of medium is hard. lots of stalkers and yes your right "identity thieves" are around us.. i dont blame them for doing it but i guess this will be the world we are going to live in whether we want to change it or not.

No, but my personal link in my profile has my real name. I'm not really sure why I like using a different username than my real one. I used to use my real name on everything from message board posts to email addresses to blog accounts . . . but not anymore.

Yes I am using my real name on mylot. I have no problem with that. This is not a general chatroom, where I need to hide myself. My name is Moumita Mazumder, and my mylot username is moumitamazumder. Just the same. I used it because, I feel comfortable in it.

no i don't use my own name in mylot or other forums that i always visited everyday.i just use japboy and japanese_boy.The reason why i chose this nick name is because i love japan and anything that related to japan very much.i don't know why i don't use my real name.It just i don't want everyone to know it.This doesn't mean i'm the bad person.

ya i use the same name in most of my accounts or blogs and i fell nothing hazardous by using our own name many ppl use different nicks to avoid someone or not to know others that they are particular....i have no objection in using my name n iuse also...byeeeeeeeeee

WELL, i think this username is my nickname.. but if u spell it rite, that would be my name, it just have different words, same sound.. like homonym. i never use my real name i guess.. well there's a lot of ppl out there n we never know whether the ppl know us or not. so i prefer not to use my real name. i use the same nick for all my account, even for my blog, the reason is.... i fell with this nick n i wouldn't change it.. as long as i'm not changing my real name :)

yes, i do. i kind of use my real name and no points for guessing that mimpi is one of my few pet names. i donot have any inhibition in disclosing my real name and i am quite okay with it. thanx.

no i do not use my real name on mylot, tellus is actually name nick name + "s" from my last name.

My screenname here is actually a combination of my nickname, birthdate and my surname. I guess I would say I have been true here. It's the same for my friendster account. I agree with you, it's best if you can be as honest as possible here at myLot.

yes. I use my nickname here and even in my other accounts. Because you become true to yourself and you feel free about what's in your mind and heart when you write about your opinions here.

anonyminity is a blessing you can be honest without giving 2 hoots to what people think about you
