never believe what your employer tells you... especially when they refuse to sign an agreement between two parties... you'll never know... until it's too late for you to realize that all of a sudden, they just used you for their illegal transactions.
i'm talking about korean-owned companies! guys, beware on korean companies! you'll never know...
well, it has nothing to do with the salary wage because they offer you good pay (if they like you as their pet)... but for me, i advised you guys to take time and think it a million times if it must to be. i strongly discourage you guys to apply for an online teacher to this company named "SEEYOUNG LANGUAGE CENTER LTD., CO." because this company violates your right as a worker. they even don't follow the laws of labor code. they do exploit people because for your information, this is the first time that i encountered for a monthly renewal contract (the minimum contract should be at least 6 months, right?). they do not even pay the right contributions for your medical benefits such as SSS & Philhealth. And what's worst? After getting what they need from you, they will just trash you like a junk or drop you like hot potatoes. Please take note that they are not a certified TESDA Accredited company... Meaning, they do not have lisence from TESDA. And what makes them think that they are capable of teaching english to koreans? None. They don't even declare their true income. Imagine, a korean student pays P80,000.00 for 1 hour... TAKE NOTE: A whopping 80,000.00 bucks for each student! Then they only declare P4,500.00/ student monthly! See?! These korean jerks should be sued for tax fraud! They went here to our country and deceive our local workers by unequal pay! Well, if this company think that I will just stick my butt on a bench and take those lame, foolish, stupid reasons, they're wrong! I am ready to sue this company for tax evasion and fraud to our government so that our country won't be invaded by Korean Pimps! hehehe...
Things that you need to know if your right has been violated by your employer:1) If the company failed to issue a copy of their policy code of conduct to each emplyee.
2) If your employer refused to sign for an agreement offer made by them.
3) If the contract or policy code you were signing is not notarized.
4) If your employer gives you an AWOL for no specific basis or unjustifiable reasons/lame excuses.
5) If the company asks you to sign for their whatever agreement that its content falls into their favor (you should not sign if you cannot see any benefit from your side).
6) If the company requires you to sign 2 types of payroll.
7) If the employer makes you sign the payroll without showing you its amount or figures.
8) If the company is not paying your tax and medical benefits correctly.
If you are experiencing these scenarios or situations, I advised you to go to their respective government agencies such as DOLE, SSS, Philhealth, PAGIBIG housing and most of all, Bureau of Internal Revenue if you think they are tax evaders!

whether or not its korean company, I still believe that if you will have an agreement with your employer, everything should be in balck and white. If they will not agree then don't waste your time and talent with them. Look for a company that is willing to make you part of their family and everything will be transparent. then it will be all up to you to give your best.

thank you for responding. yes, the contract that i signed was in black and white. the story is too long if i'm going to narrate it but i believed that what i did was indeed legal. in fact, just last friday, i drafted a letter of agreement but our stupid supervisor refused to sign it. she told me that she doesn't want to put the company into trouble. i can't see any reasons for her not to sign because that letter will also serve a my clearance from them. i was asking them to sign an agreement between two parties which is me and the company stating that they have offered me not to finish the last few terms of my contract so that i can find a new job. it is not credible enough if they will just say that i have their word because that can't be used as an evidence in court if ever we end up of suing each other and no stupid judge or lawyer will say that it is efficient to keep their words.. she even admitted to one of our co-workers that what i did was legal. i was absent 4 four days due to illness and i even presented a letter of leave with a temporary medical certificate attachment. when i get back to work, they told me that my contract will no longer be renewed and they even failed to notify me or give me a letter stressing that i am given 72 hours to explain why am i absent for the past four days. it was very stupid because i went to work on election day and i was already sick. i have fever that day but still, i went to work then all of a sudden, they were giving me such lame and stupid explanations? they pushed me to sue them... i was making things legal but they a re the ones doing illegal things such as making us sign two types of payroll (one of the payroll is fake which will be used in BIR). i know all these things because they asked me to prepare that. if they want, i can even present some of my co-worker's payslips, including mine just to prove that our payslips and payroll doesn't match. junk koreans! i would rather take my chances to have a filipino boss rather than having a fool, disgusted korean boss! ashlockes!

I am not pro koreans nor against them but just be sure next time there are also filipino employers who are good but there are also bad, even chinese. and sometimes even if you go to DOLE they cannot help specially if the employer have a good reputation with them. I can feel your angst, but that's the way it goes. Just don't waste your time, money and energy in fighting them. At least learn from them. Though it is nice you show them your grievances, but be careful too because they will hit back at you and I think it's already happening when you were on leave. anyway they cannot make you resign without proper reason just be careful because they will be on a look out even just a small unneccessary mistake.
Goodluck and hope you'll find a good employer!

No offense to anyone but I would consider working for a Korean company slave labor.
This also goes to a lot of other countries that would be considered 3rd world to the USA.
Thanks for the information.
I own a business. I do not lie to my employees.
I also provide estimates to a lot of different people from a lot of different countries.
I am not going to name names but there are certain people that I will not even bother giving an estimate. I guess in their country the people work for pennies but not here.
I am one of the best in my area and they can pay if they want the best. I can usually tell if someone from another country lives in a home because they do not mow their lawn or trim their shrubs because they "THINK" someone should do it for $3 and hour.
