not understanding rating

I don't hold much stock in the rating stars. I find them to be a bit skewed. You have people on here that go into copy and paste frenzies and plagiarize every site they find online, and they have a quality rating star of 8,9, and 10. I use to be a 10, I use to be a 9, I'm now an 8. Some people go "-" happy on members that don't have the same opinion as they do with respect to discussions they have responded to. I went away for a few days and didn't post during that time, and came back to find my 10 was a 9. I just don't worry about it anymore. I keep posting and responding they way I always have since I started here way back when. I don't think one discussion deleted will have an impact as you've noted, I could be wrong though. Don't fret it *smile*

Just think of our star like this. It has a mind of its own. It can either go up and down and who knows, anyone out there might be playing a prank on us. I have long since stopped looking at my star rating. All I see is a blue star and nothing more. The discussion deleted might be in some way affect your rating. I always gave you positive rating. TO cheer you up, I will go through your previous discussions and gave you more pluses. Hope this will help push your rating up.

Well Sweet you know what has happened to me I have not checked my Rating yet and I am really not bothered anymore as someone is out to ruin the Site and slowly succeeding

Sorry to hear that mate. Don't sweatr it though. The other day mine went from 98 to 83, not sure what it is now however. This seems to be happening to everyone. I've seen comments that there is a gremlin in the works being naughty, to put it nicely. I'm sure everything will be straightened out soon. Cheers.

Dont feel bad.Mine went down from a 10 to a 9.I think it was because people haev differing opinions and the mark our response negatively.But I dont do that I usually mark people pluses unless the respond to my discussion and it has nothing to do with my discussion or they are cussing and putting other people down,copying someones elses's post,ect.But the way I feel everyone is going to have difference in opinions so I still give them a plus regardless if they agree with me or not.I am giving you all pluses.:)
