Yes,I had a blood donation before.I was so excited at that time that I nearly forgot the pain.I wasn't afraid of it.I just thought I can help the people who is in need of the blood. You see the life of red blood cell is just 120 days.If you don't donate the blood the RBC will be also changed.Old RBC will be clear by the macrophage while the new one will be produced by bone marrow. So donating the blood regularly can promote the function of metabolism.

Blood donation is a noble cause. Because blood can not be manufactured in a factory but can only be ontained from a human body, it is our duty to donate blood whenever we are in a position to do so.
Yes, I have donated blood a few times in the past.

I have given in the past, but I have not recently, every time i have gone recently, I have had a fever or my iron is just a little too low, I have nothing wrong with me, So I do not understand what is going on with that. I used to be deathly afraid of the needles, but a friend of mine told me if I would do it, so would she, I still do not like needles, but I will put up with them for donating a pint of blood to save a life every now and then.

Make donating blood with regularity a part of your life. The process is simple and safe. Minority groups have something special to give. Different groups of people have different percentages of blood types. Thus, it is important that every ethnic group participate in blood donation programs. Remember: you can save the life of a friend, a neighbor, and also a family member. so never feel afraid of blood donation.

I would love to donate blood, but when I called for information I found out they couldn't take my blood because of some conditions I have. It's also important for people to give plasma. A whole bunch of legit medical places pay a person when they come in to donate plasma. It pays anywhere from $40-$130 dollars around here, plus you are helping to save lives.

I've actually given blood many many times. I started giving blood as soon as I was old enough at a school blood drive, and it made me feel so good that I just kept going whenever I was allowed. I was really nervous about it the first time, but once I got it over with the first time, it was totally fine, so now it doesn't bother me at all.

My husband and I used to both go along and donate blood when they came to our area. He kept feeling ill though so they were taking less each time until they said it was not really worth him going! I continued and got to about 25 visits. I got upset when the nurse refused to date my book again as they went all computerised and I have not gained the confidence to go back again yet. MyLot is helping with my confidence so perhaps I can get back through those doors again soon. Part of me thinks I have already done my bit though. The collectors go to where I work and people donate there - I think they use it as an excuse for less work and a cup to tea and biscuit whilst on the job!

I would love to donate blood but to this day I haven't donated yet. I tried once but I was rejected because I was having my monthly period then. But yes, when an opportunity arises, I would donate my own blood. It is a very charitable thing to do not to mention that donating blood has its own benefits.

No as of now im not afraid of blood donation...i have done it two times in the past one year...At first i was apprehensive about the ill effects of blood donation, that i thought giving blood on or near days of exams will make me less able to concentrate on my studies...But after giving even such small fears have vanished and im ready and raring to give...
