Bullying, depresion and suicide

I did a research on bullying and depression and you cannot imagine how many kids end up killing themselves and being killed because of being bullied. Remember the columbine massacre? There are more incidences like that. Can you imagine 11 year olds committing suicide? How sad it is that kids can drive other kids to suicide and massacre just because they do feel the need to show how strong they are. These bullies are also fighting their own battles and must often than not, are depressed themselves. What can we do to help? We have to be more vigilant about our kids, our kids' friends, our friends' kids, our neighbors' friends. Teachers need to be aware of this and have some kind of program to stop it. Counselors need to be wary of the symptoms the kids are showing. We all have to be aware.
