well as much as i dispise Michael Owen for leaving Liverpool, maybe, just maybe he could make a difference for us once again, i mean, remember the old days where it was Michael Owen and Robbie fowler, the thought of it then, they were one of the best strike forces in UK, maybe Own and Kuyt, but then again, dont know if that would even work..... its hard to say whos better for the job!

yes i agree, but, to be fair, Liverpool, did make it that far, and being 2nd best in Europe still is a pretty good title to hold on to! considering we can never seem to win the Premiership title!

Frankly, if Crouchy leaves I'll be gutted as his goal scoring record IS good enough! Bellamy has to go, he just hasn't done enough this season...
Personally, top of my list is Tevez as he plays with his heart on his sleeve and Rafa has already shown that he can work with Mascherano, so hopefully he could do the same with Tevez...
Second choice, Torres/Villa but with the apparent lack of funds these are probably out of our reach
I don't really buy into eto'o at the moment, his record is top class but I just don't quite get the feeling he would be as effective in the prem...
As for these ridiculous reports of Diego Forlan - as far as I know no former Utd player has ever played for Liverpool... and that aint gonna change

i think Tevez along with Kyut is a good option for them. now they strong in both defence and midfield. there is a weak area in the team is the forward lineup.if they did have a better striker in the champions league final definitely they could won the match.
so when they are signining for a new player they should concentrate on their weaker points means a striker.

Carlos Tevez is always my favofite striker to come to Liverpool... I just dont understand why Rafa is interested with Forlan... For me its better to keep Bellamy instead of buying Frolan... (Why must take former MU's player)

Being a Liverpool fan, ive watched Tevez play for west ham a few times and everytime ive said "he'd be awesome if he was playing for a big team with a good wingers and playmakers to support him" With Pennant now looking the part and of course stevie and xabi, plus the prospect of a new left winger. i think tevez would slot in fantastically! Sign him now Rafa!!!

I think Tevez and Kuyt partnership can be explosive, but I doubt if Tevez will leave West Ham just yet. Given Kuyt's heading prowess, Liverpool need someone real quick to apply the finishes. I also like to think that Owen can come back as one of the responses are pointing to.
Cheers!

I agree with some people's responses in regards to Michael Owen. He is always going to be a Liverpool boy at heart and playing at his true home, he will sparkle again.
Tevez is a top player and im amazed at his work rate as a quite a few South Amercians, especially strikers, have been known to get quite lazy.
If your looking to the future, I will suggest a name not many of you would have heard of, Goran Pandev from Lazio. The Macedonian striker is regarded as a future star in Italy, the Italians are not usually big in praise of players that are not Italian but they see the big talent in Pandev. He was linked to a move to Arsenal last season. You might think his not a big name but look at what Berbatov did for Tottenham and Pandev is a similar player from the same kind of region.
