Bayanihan Linux is a complete open source-based desktop solution for office and school use. It is a package that includes an operating system, a word processor, spreadsheet program, presentation software, email facility, an internet browser, and a graphics editor. This complete system is packaged in a single easy-to-install CD. The word "Bayanihan" relates to a Filipino tradition where people in a community help their neighbour in physically moving their house to a different place. The most recent versions of Bayanihan Linux are based on Debian GNU/Linux.

My favourite is Fedora Core...plain, simple and pristinely similar to Linux,as we know.

My favorite would Ubuntu. I got it delivered from them to my home. If you are interested to switch to Linux from any other operating systems, you can try Ubuntu Linux. They even have a facility of sending CDs to your home for free. They send any number of CDs for you, your family members, and your friends. Try it at, https://shipit.ubuntu.com/

I am running on Kubuntu right now. It's a very solid OS, no real complaints. I found there were a lot of tools to make steps easy for me. My favorite being Envy, which finds and installs the latest Nvidia driver for you.
My favorite is a toss up between Kubuntu and Gentoo though. I have 3 computers, one runs Kubuntu and one Gentoo. I switch back and forth too much to really commit to one.
As long as it's KDE, I'm happy.

My favourite Linux distribution is Mandriva.
I recently installed Mandriva 2007.1 Spring Edition and it has a lot of new and upgraded software.
I like Mandriva because it is easy and fast to install and very easy to use.
Mandriva can be used both with KDE or Gnome and uses RPM packages to manage software.
This distro is on DVD and you can have, after 20 minutes of installation, a system with a lot of software for every of your needs.

Ubuntu is definitely my favorite Linux distro (I use it for everything except games, for which I boot into Windows). Hardware support is pretty good and the installation is as simple as can be. But if, for some reason, you don't want to use Ubuntu, SuSE would be my second choice.

as for me, i prefer ubuntu. i've been hooked to it ever since 5.04 and that was two years ago. it' really gaining it popularity mainly because it lives up to it goals of being a try desktop distro. very easy to use and update. security was also put as a priority
