Yes I've taken the Eurostar from London to Paris. It was very expensive. The Eurostar can cost much more than a budget airline flight. There's easyjet, ryan air and all sorts of other good budget airlines. are you planning to take the eurostar? you have to book many months in advance to get the cheaper fare.

I used to live near Ashford in Kent. This is the place the the Eurostar train calls at after London Waterloo on its way to Paris. I have travelled on it a few times. It is a very quick and comfortable journey. It takes about 20 minutes to go through the channel tunnel. Then the train goes through the beautiful French countryside before reacahing Paris Gare de Nord. I have even taken my bike on Eurostar when I travelled from Brussels to London. I found it very funny when I had to take my bike on an escalator at the station in Brussels. I really like Eurostar. Before this was around I had to travel by train, next by ferry and then by train. It took ages to get from London to Paris in those days.

A looooooooong time ago, we travelled to Paris from London; I think there were still steam trains, so that lets you know how long ago it was. We got the train to ?Dover and then the ferry and finally the train to Paris. It took forever. I think the service now is much faster and cleaner; especially so if you go through the Tunnel. Paris is brilliant! M
