do they really fry it? i saw a stand here in our mall and they sell fried ice cream although they don't fry it they just make a liquid wherein it goes solid fast and it looks like it is being fried. What is really fried ice cream?

yes scoops of icecream is dipped in a batter and will be deep fried in oil . batter can be pancakes batter with honey or sugar ,without salt. we should scoop out icecream in a boll shape and we should dip this , in flour and water, and honey mixture ,and cover bolls with cornflakes and should deep fry in oil . try this if u want. this is easy procedure. if cornflakes are big, just crush it lighly. and u should scoop icecream before serving this recipe ,otherwise icecream will melt.

I have purchased it at a restaurant before and it was actually deep fat fried - after being coated in a crumbly mixture, likely corn flakes and then sugared. I did not care for it very well and gave most of it to my companions to finish.

Fried ice-cream is mainly coating the ice-cream with bread and you fried the bread. Hot on the outside and cold on the inside.

It's cotton candy and oh so delicious! I didn't know it existed until I went to a Chinese buffet place and it was part of the dessert line up. I think I sucked on that spoon for a half hour.

Fried Ice Cream is the greatest thing ever! Lots of Mexican restaurants serve it here where I live. I had some homemade before, too, and it was DIVINE.....hehehe...i really want some now.

The only fried ice cream I have ever eaten was actually ... fried ice cream. The ice cream is dipped and rounded, then returned to the freezer. After it hardens, it is removed and rolled in corn flakes then dropped in oil and fried for a few seconds. After being removed, a light caramel sauce is drizzled over the ball of ice cream. It is very good. If you ever get a chance to try it you should. It's delicious. Several Mexican restaraunts sell it around here.
