do you think there will be new characters added to the simpsons

The Simpsons has been a classic animated series an has been onfor a very long time. But because of the desperasion of the writers and producers to have episodes, do you think they will add a new character(s)? I have been thinking about this for a long time.

They've been doing some special appearances of famous personality but adding a new main stay character i think that's not a good move for the show... but that's just my opinion
