Chat: Do you tell the truth or not?

Chatting is new to me, when i feel like i need to talk but has no one to talk to... i chat... now while chatting i wonder a great deal if people are saying the truth or not. Me i tell the truth about my opinions and thoughts but personal informations i just tell them that i cant give that... rather than lie about it. Do you think there are real friends in chat? Do you think you can trust in chat? What do you think of chatting?
