Identification cards are very important. Without ID's, transactions would be a little difficult, opening accounts would be hanging or delayed and more hassles would result. Generally, all people are encouraged to have more than one ID for many purposes. I have 3 official ID's right now and these ID's are: my college ID, my CE national organization ID and my voter's ID. How about you? How many ID's do you have? With this, I mean, official ID's which may still be used for general transactions. Please share..

Other than that, i have my office ID card which is an government authorization, then i have a driving license, which i suppose can be used for any verification. I had my college ID but then they took it back as soon as i left the college.

i can no longer understand it why in this country, the philippines, voter's id's are so difficult to secure. we must be able to apply for one at the comelec anytime of the year for those who are registered voters. they can require the interested ones to pay some fees for it. it does not really matter at all if they make us pay for it, for as long as, we get one when we desire to. i cannot understand either, why are we required to present a number of valid id's whenever we to through a transaction. this is really a crazy country which i am in.

as for id's, i have made sure always that i never lose my bir id. as for my gsis/sss id, i need to have a new one issued. it is high time that the lawmakers of this country take with serious consideration the need to document its citizens. there will have to be issued a national id which will be all that's going to be required whenever we will be doing official transactions with any office of the government. the present way of how they deal with this documentation requirements is very confusing. there are private offices which will recognize only specific identification cards. then all else becomes invalid. this is crazy. this is a crazy country in fact. we have lawmakers which we will never understand. they can tackle to pass laws which will never matter, but they always have the excuses not to touch on those which are of primary importance, like the documentation of all the legal citizens of this beloved philippines.

I do agree that a national ID system is greatly needed. I haven't been involved in many gov't transactions but I believe a national ID system would put us on a smoother sailing and it's set to help more people. Thanks.

Since I'm currently living in Taiwan, I would say my main ID is my passport. I have ID cards from Canada, but they are useless here since most police officers don't understand English. I got pulled over a couple of times here and I used my Canadian driver's license, they had no idea what it was and just let me go. So there are ups and downs I guess.

i have a lot of ID's right now. i have my social security id, my government sevice insurance id, tax id, company id. id's are important, many establishments ask for an id when you're using a credit card or when you'll be claiming something.

I have a state-issued ID card, Social Security card, an old college photo ID card that can be re-stamped and re-stickered if and when I am able to return to college, and a voter's ID.

Well, I have my student ID and my passport... otherwise, I don't have any official photo ID. I'm going to take my learner's permit test soon, so that could be added to the list. Otherwise I have a blood donor card and an ambulatory card, but neither are photo ID.
