How many wear straw hats now that the summer's here?

I would love to put it on when I go out during the summers, but I find nobody wearing it nowadays. I used to do it in my younger days when a lot many did the same. I guess with the advent of technology, people tend to be more indoors. I remember those beautiful hats that a few of my friends designed themselves. It was really a must in the good old days.
What about where you live? Do they still use those beautiful straw hats anymore?

Till now i havent seen much use of straw hat in my area , yes my fathe has one in his antique collection :) though he seldom use it .
I feel its a good way to cot away the scorching sun but i dont know why its use is obsolete may be every one want to use it like you and me but feels that it would feel awkward if i go out wuth it because no other is with a straw hat now -a- days .

I thought so too. Also, it's not very freely available and one has to look for it.
