Would You defend a close friend if it meant reprocautions at work

If the inner circle of staff at work bad mouthed, or talked down about a close friend of yours, would you say something or not? It might mean being shunned, demoted, or even fired

Friendship is based on loyalty. Now say you were hearing people talk badly about your friend at work...talk is harmless, forget them and ignore it and keep yourself out of truble, no reason to stir trouble..unless they start talking to YOU about your friend..they are entitled to their opinions but then you are entitled to share your stance right up front and tell them to take their crap elsewhere.....of course you got to watch your friends back

Yes friendship is based on Loyalty. But in this instance, they "staff" who make or break an employee at this place are talking, in general bad mouthing and calling the friend off. Speaking up, would definatly mean loss of a job
