i brush in the morning after breakfast and evening before i go to bed.
it would be a pain to carry around toothbrush and paste for after every meal.
i cant remember what they are called, but i know they have a "convienient" brush thing that are small, its like a little sleeve that goes over your finger with a bit of bristle on it and some toothpaste already on it. you just use your finger as the brush and throw it away after one use.
if i can remember what they are called or who makes them i will post it..they did seem a very handy idea.

i will have to check if these things are available out here in India. I would certainly give them a try if they are available here.

I do not have such a habit. I find it inconvenient to do so unless I take my lunch and dinner at home. When outside, even if I carry my toothbrush and toothpaste around, I find it inconvenient to find a room conducive for brushing.

I think it is not at all necessary. Only washing and rinsing mouth with normal water is sufficent to clean the teeth. Otherwise teeth may miss some useful minerals and vitamins by immediate brushing after meal. Thanks for this nice posting.

you are suffering from misconceptions most people suffer.brushing is a very important component of oral hygiene.rinsing with normal water doesn't remove the deep seated food debris which firmly planted in the crevices between teeth.rinsing is just like cleaning the keyboard with a wet cloth;you are not able to remove the dust between the keys.
you must brush for atlest twice a day.it's amazing how a simple brushing regimen can help avoid a number a oral disorders like plaque, gingivitis and cavities.as for rinsing, you can use a an Oral Rinse, specially formulated.
as far as the mineral absorption is concerned it is surprising that NO ABSORPTION TAKES PLACE IN THE MOUTH.the vitamins and minerals are mostly ABSORBED IN INTESTINE.

I still brush my teeth after every meal no matter where I am at. I keep a toothbrush and a small travel size thing of toothpaste in a small plastic bag that I grab automatically if I am going out somewhere to eat. I know it sounds strange, but it's a habit that was instilled in me when I was young, since my parents do the same thing. Just trying to take the best possible care of my teeth as I possibly can.

It is not comfortable for me to brush my teeth after every lunch/dinner i only brush my teeth in the morning and sometimes in the evening. I think continous use of paste to brush the teeth with the chemicals it contains can course damage to the teeth eg tooth decay. Cheers

I brush in the morning and at night. If I am home during lunch and dinner, I definitely will brush my teeth. Sometimes I do carry a toothbrush and toothpaste with me because I want to have healthy teeth. However, my main toothbrush is called Sonic Care Complete, and it's an electric toothbrush, I got it several years as a birthday present. See the picture below.

I do brush my teeth 2 times a day . Once early in the morning and again in the night after dinner. Thats waht doctors recommend. Too much of brushing setroys hard enamel on your teeth and they will become very sensitive. If you do 2 times its more than enough ..cheers

I brush my teeth in the morning, after every meal and before I go to bed. They have some new slip on disposable toothbrushes that are great for when you are away from home. Just slip them in your pocket, use and discard. I like the fresh feeling of clean teeth after a meal.

I brush my teeth after breakfast and after dinner. That is enough I would not want to do it anymore than that.

When I am at home I always. After I eat something, no matter how small, I still brush. But when I am away from however I don't as I don't like carry around a toothbrush and especially toothpaste after a bad accident in my bag before. But still I try to rinse my mouth with water after eating away from home. At home though, it's become a habit of which I just can't stand to go around un-brushed after meals, especially oily things where it still sticks to your throat and you can still taste the oil. So yes, I brush whenever possible.

ideally a person is required to brush after every meal.so you should go for the brush evry time you grind something between your teeth.
BUT as most of the people(including you) find it difficult to do this, the dentists recommend brushing thrice a day(one each for breakfast, lunch and dinner).some people even go for "twice in a day" plan which is only a passive protection.for good protection you MUST brush atleast THREE TIMES A DAY.
please do it now.if you require any inspiration you can always look into the "Oral Pathology" books.have a look at the pictures of diseased mouth and you will be horrified.
