Halo 3 Beta

How many of you have played the halo 3 beta in preparation for the actual game being released this september? What do you think of it? Do you think it will be as much of a hit as halo 2 with it only being available for people with a 360, with no auto aim on snipers or rockets? With more than 4 head shots to kill with a BR? Whats your opinion? Dya reckon all the whoo haaa about halo 3 is goin to diminish quickly or dya reckon it will be bigger than the 100 of 1000's of people that play halo 2 around the world?

Well I beta test a lot of things for Microsoft, and Halo was just another thing I can add to my long list of betas I have tested. So far I really like it, and I will totally buy it when it comes out, that's if I don't get it for free for testing it out :D I can't wait for the final product.

WoW! Id love to be able to do that! That is like some kind of dream job! Lol, Although I am not really a brilliant gamer so I would never be able to, I do like it but don't you think the fact that it is only available on the 360 is going to make it less popular as some people cant afford a 360 yet most people can afford to buy halo 2?
BTW you are a lucky guy being able to test things out for a company like microsoft!

You will have to let me know about other upcoming games from microsoft... i love halo though, i only play 2 at home and im not brilliant but i love it all the same, its something i can improove on the more i do and i love it! I actually sat and played halo 1 the other day, i noticed how much they improved between one and two! Hope you are ok chris hunni x

Well if I would have known that you like Halo alot I could have given you an invite to test it too, but I don't have anymore to hand out, plus the testing phase is about to come to an end soon anyway :(

I know I will not get it. As I have a Xbox and cannot afford to get the 360. I think it hurts sales when they limit the games to one version.

I know what you mean, I too only have a xbox and cant afford a 360 so I will be sticking to only playing halo3 round my sister in laws. I will stick to halo 2 when I am at home though, I am just getting the hang of it anyways so I will be pro on it when they have forgotten how to play lol, I know what you mean about the sales being hurt too, I agree totally with you

I like Halo One the best out of the 2. For some reason Halo 2 really trips me up. I do not play my X-Box enough anyhow so I doubt I will ever get another gaming system. But then again I said this before and ended up with the X-box and a Playstation One.

Sorry, but that's progress for you. That's why they aren't still releasing new games for the Playstation one, why The SNES hasn't had a new game in a decade. Publishers have to concentrate on the next system, we can't just keep looking back. If you can't justify getting a 360, there are still plenty of classic titles to choose from, but if you want the newest games, you have to buy the newest systems.
As for Halo 3, I've been playing the beta since day 1 and I think it's amazing, they have balanced everything almost perfectly. The support items (bubble shield, power drainer etc) put an extra dimension into things, and it's just incredibly good fun. :)

no havnt played it but saw new zanzibar video its beautiful but i didnt like high grounds doest look fun anyways....

Well I played the beta and thought it was great, I think that limiting the games to one console is actually a good strategy on microsoft's behalf, If they released it for regular xbox also no one would ever buy the 360 especially halo fans because they wouldn't have a reason to. But I do think it sucks for the people who can't afford it, Me I am a big microsoft supporter & gamer, I have an xbox & two 360's. I don't think the hype for halo 3 is going to diminish at all, people have only seen a mear glimpse of what the whole game has to offer. Nice topic by the way, I like it.

I played the Halo 3 beta and it were great!
I had quite a lot of fun on it even though it was only a beta and had 3 maps.
I had a lot fun playing online on Halo 3 then I did Halo 2.
Although near to the closing of the beta, some people were getting to a stupidly high level.
