what is the secret of having a good discussion??

i think everybody knows how to have a good discussion to start with.
but did this occur to you, what is the secret of having a good discussion to start?
does it come's with your uploaded pic, avatar?
or having a long details of question composed at "discussion detail"?
or it started with you first and ended by friends you added to your friend list? by putting a good response and a reply to that response?

i think if u write topics on general day to day stuffs more people feel like responding to it...i haven't been quite successful i wud admit as the maximum number of responses in any of my discussions is just 17...but i find some guys just getting hundreds of responses regularly...dont know if have they have found out any formula...lol

you may say that again!! i do find some guys or added friends here in mylot have that 62 or more responses from his topic started. but when i viewed the profile of the mentioned friends it seemed to be that he became a member of mylot just 1 month ago and all of the sudden he have a lots of friends a lot of respondents just like that. well i cant explain it either how he do that as far as i know i can say he's a good topic starter
